Job Scope:
- The Truck Driver position is a driving position that supports Operations by driving, operating and maintaining various types of trucks and equipment and any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs Daily Vehicle Inspection Reports for each piece of equipment before it is driven or towed.
- Drive multiple types of equipment, including straight truck and tractor trailer combinations.
- Load, haul and drive oversize or overweight equipment in accordance with DOT guidelines.
- Perform minor general repairs or maintenance as needed to lights, brakes, tires, etc.
- Maintain all safety equipment and other required equipment on vehicle as required by DOT.
- Chain and/or strap down loads in accordance with DOT requirements for load securement/load check.
- Complete a daily Record of Duty Status (log) in accordance with DOT requirements.
- Use hand tools as required for jobs on location or at the yard.
- Responsible for making safety performance and environmental awareness the primary focus each day.
- Attends pre-job safety meetings on yard, location or any other designated location.
- Maintain satisfactory driving record as defined by Company's motor vehicle insurance carrier.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication with colleagues.
- Other duties may be assigned, as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or GED is required
- Valid Class A CDL license is required
- At least 5 years of heavy haul driving experience required
- 2 to 3 years of previous Oilfield Driving Experience is required
- Be able to work a rotational work schedule
- Provide transportation to and from yard or location
- Able to obtain a negative result for drug and alcohol screening both in DOT & Non-DOT pools
- Complete post-offer physical abilities testing
- Meet all requirements, according to US DOT, including licensing and driving record Essential Function Requirements:
- Ability to climb into and out of a truck cab on uneven surfaces, multiple times daily
- Ability to bend, stoop & twist, multiple times daily
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. at waist height and lower to ground, multiple times daily
- Ability to reach at least 32 inches away from body and exert 75 lbs. pull force with one arm, multiple times daily
- Ability to throw a 5-lb weight over shoulder to a height of 13 feet and 7 inches, multiple times daily
- Ability to look directly overhead and down utilizing any posture, multiple time daily
