Job Description

We have 20+ openings for experienced Java/J2EE Full Stack Developers, UI (AngularJS) Developers, and DevOps (AWS) Engineers.  These are full-time direct hire positions based in the NE Charlotte, NC area, with relocation packages available for interested non-local candidates.  Salaries range from $90,000-$130,000/year, and full compensation details will be shared upon conversation.  Complete job descriptions and number of available positions for all roles are included below:

Full Stack Java/J2EE Developer – 7-10 positionsJob Description/Requirements
  • 5+ years hands-on development experience in Java/J2EE and supporting production systems required, including server-side Java/J2EE technologies and databases.
  • SQLServer experience a must, familiarity with Oracle a plus
  • Must be available 24/7 for on-call support/rotation
  • Must be able to analyze the issues quickly, multi-task, provide solutions, and work with different teams to resolve technical issues
  • Defect tracking system (JIRA) is required as is familiarity with version control tools (SVN/GIT)
  • Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
  • Experience with application servers (JBOSS) as well as knowledge of front end technologies is required
  • Ideal profile is a full-stack developer with both Java and front-end/Angular skills


Preferred Experience
  • Banking/financial services background
  • UML diagram as well as ANT, Maven script experience a plus; also Agile and GIT, SVN knowledge is preferred


Education
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree (in Computer Science or relevant field)


UI (AngularJS) Developers – 7-10 positions:Job Description:
  • Front-end developer with at least 3 years development experience needed to build functional and appealing interactive applications which ensures a great user experience.


Job Responsibilities
  • Use markup languages like HTML to create user-friendly web pages
  • Improve website interactions while optimizing applications for maximum speed with mobile-based features (where defined)
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability and, where required, write functional requirement documents and end-user guides
  • Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency throughout as well as creating quality mockups and prototypes
  • Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting and remaining up-to-date on emerging technologies


Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 6-8 months of development experience in Angular4
  • Have good knowledge of SASS/HTML5, ES6 standards, and JavaScript
  • Proven work experience as a front-end developer
  • Verifiable work experience with JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, Angular JS and Bootstrap as well as browser testing and debugging
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development lifecycle
  • Understanding of layout aesthetics and SEO principles
  • Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite, Photoshop and content management systems (Adobe PhoneGAP, Apache Cordova)


Education
  • Bachelor Degree (in Computer Science or relevant field)


DevOps (AWS) Engineer - 2 positions:Position Overview
  • This Build & Release Engineer is responsible for defining, implementing and managing the build, integration and release processes for multiple product releases. 
  • Specifically responsible for source code and system deployment, establishing controls and processes while building relationships across technology & development groups to create and manage system deployment documentation. 
  • Must also work with developers to build consensus and work towards improving the processes.


Responsibilities
  • Analyze, develop, and maintain tools to support and automate processes for multiple product releases, including build and deployment automation, configuration, and various developer tools
  • Write process automation scripts for deployment and release and establish related documentation (such as deployment guide and release notes)
  • Works with project teams to determine appropriate build schedule as well as automating the build and packaging process
  • Compile and assemble software from source code
  • Ensure that tools are properly stored in source control
  • Supports developers with development tools including such source control, testing tools, and Integrated Development Environments (IDEs)
  • Works with developers to use best practices for source control management
  • Support development efforts by ensuring environment availability and timely releases
  • Troubleshoot and fix issues related to the environment/build
  • Experience with database deployment/scripting (such as Oracle/SQL Server/DB2)
 Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience on DevOps
  • Proven experience with source code management technologies such as SVN, GIT
  • Experience managing and deploying applications to J2EE application servers such as JBoss, WebSphere
  • Experience maintaining continuous integration software such as Bamboo, Jenkins
  • Experience with build tools such as Maven, ANT, GRUNT
  • Experience with UNIX/Shell scripting and/or Powershell scripting
  • Database (SQL) scripting is required
  • Own and manage the administration of source code version control, branching, and labeling
  • Docker, Packer, Spinnaker, Terraform, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform, Jenkins/CircleCi, Maven/Gradle, Python/Shell scripting knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technology with emphasis on the AWS ecosystem and commonly deployed third-party tools. Required AWS experience includes:
  • AWS networking products CloudFront Content delivery network, virtual private cloud, direct connections, load balancing, and Route53.
  • AWS management tools CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, and System Manager.
  • AWS database Amazon RDS, ElasticCache, and 3rd party Geo replication products i.e. Cloudbasic.
 Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong communication presentation skills, ability to present at management/executive level
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, and priority management skills
  • Able to work independently, act pro-actively, keep management apprised of project related issues
