Job Description

We are looking for 3 or more years’ experience. The Maintenance Technician must have the ability to perform maintenance in the equipment assigned. Basic Computer skills are recommended. The candidate's knowledge, personality and drive must gain the respect of the other maintenance staff and the support of the other Technicians and Supervisor.


HOURS: You will begin the assignment on day shift for training but can transfer to 2nd shift and receive a shift differential.

PAY:  $19.00/hour or higher depending on experience.

LOCATION:  Sugar Land, TX  77478


The Maintenance Technician has the principal responsibility to help and follow the tasks set by the supervisor ensuring that the equipment, both for preventive maintenance and repair, is maintained to the highest standards and according to the latest specification. 

  • The Maintenance Technician accurately reports completed maintenance and failure occurrences to his/her supervisor.
  • Ensures all assigned equipment is continually maintained at the highest standards, resulting in proper functionality and minimum failures.
  • Performs the maintenance strictly, as per procedure, and according to the defined schedule defined by the Supervisor.
  • Efficiently troubleshoots and repairs assigned equipment.
  • Motors and AC/DC Drives knowledge (Example: Yaskawa).
  • Knowledge of encoders and temperature controllers.
  • Reading and writing wiring diagrams.
  • Use of instrumentation. 
  • Records all maintenance and failure events immediately and accurately.
  • Understands and helps drive the World-Wide Service Quality Plan within the center.
  • Actively uses Quest Suggestions both for technical solutions and for knowledge sharing.
  • Reports honestly and accurately at all times.
  • Knowledge of Arc Flash Electrical Safety.
  • Electrical Code Knowledge.
