Job Description

Summary:Assembly of parts and tool assemblies in the manufacture and testing of oilfield completion products and tools. Mechanical assembly. 
Key Functions: 
  • Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, procedures and follow written and oral instructions. 
  • Identify components and use pertinent hand tools and rework techniques, operate assembly equipment and tools, dimension and set tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
  • Select and use appropriate tools and fixtures to assemble products.
  • Accurately assemble oilfield completion products and tool assemblies.
  • Test assembled products and tool assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with products and assemblies.
  • Create labor records for all transactions.
  • Document records of work performed.
  • Perform daily 5S activities and participate in Lean Manufacturing projects.
  • Wear PPE at all times and observe health, safety and environmental policies.
  • Successfully complete required safety training including but not limited to crane, forklift, drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving
Education: 
  • Minimum high school or equivalent 
  • Vocational or trade school preferred
Skills
  • Experience of preparing and torqueing premium connections (Tenaris/ Vallorec) 
  • Experience of using a Bucking make break unit 
  • Good level of computer competency 
  • Ability to read procedure and interpret Engineering drawings. 
  • Pressure testing with Water/Hydraulic fluid/ Nitrogen (Preferably through a remote system with digital recording.
  • Assembly of completion tools 
Schedule:
  • 2nd Shift – 12pm – 8pm - $2 shift differential 
  • 3rd Shift – 8pm – 4am - $3 shift differential
