Job Description

We’re looking for someone who is eager to network, makes connections, builds relationships, and pursues opportunities all at a fast pace. You will lead our efforts to generate new revenue with new clients by executing a disciplined new business development plan. You will research industry segments and company profiles, follow up on marketing leads and opportunities, and coordinate with marketing for the pursuit of other targets.  Business Development Managers are responsible for prospecting for new business, upselling, and cross-selling within our install base, as well as delivering results against a quota.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify new business opportunities through networking, cold-calls, emails and via social platforms, to name a few
  • Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help the company expand
  • Maintain existing business and find new opportunities within these businesses
  • Think critically when planning to assure project success
  • Track and record metrics throughout the sales process
  • Understand and keep up to date with industry and competitive landscape
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to management regarding activity, sales pipeline, upcoming new customer contracts, quota status, industry trends and more

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relative experience
  • 3 – 4 years’ prior industry-related business development experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful sales strategies and plans
  • Self-driven, focused and goal-oriented
  • Possess strong sales, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools
