Through our partnership with Icon, we are seeking a Device Engineering Project Manager in Cheshire, CT 06410 for a direct-hire role paying $100,000-$140,000/year.
Job Description:Accountability for the management, planning, direction and oversight of device engineering activities. The Project Manager will be responsible for design, development, certification, commercialization and lifecycle management of innovative, robust and reliable IoT devices for the organizations and its customers. Candidate will ensure project objectives and deliverables are predictably and consistently achieved.
Essential Duties/Accountabilities: 
  • Manage the design, build, test, documentation, implementation and maintenance of IoT devices from concept to product life cycle management.
  • Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to certify product for FCC/UL/TUV/EC or other required standards.
  • Responsible for staffing, schedules, project status and employee assignments.
  • Work cooperatively in a multi-discipline team environment with other managers and engineers to develop and execute on overall plans, assess issues/problems and develop solutions to achieve on-time commitments.
  • Negotiate and manage consultants, outsourcing partners, and co-development projects with attention to customer and product requirements, interfaces, schedules, budgets and all relevant documentation.

  • Demonstrate the following leadership skills:
  • Track projects using Gantt charts or equivalent project management tracking software
  • Interact with multi-disciplinary engineers for a common goal.
  • Fiscally responsible for keeping project on budget.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Education/Experience:BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. MSEE, MSCS or Masters in a technical field is a plusExperience in medical device field with innovation, implementation, and execution of medical products a plus.
