Would you enjoy owning, defining, and shaping DevOps for a rapidly growing, well-funded financial technology company?  If so, this may be the opportunity for you!  Modis has an exciting full-time direct hire opportunity for a DevOps Engineer in the Atlanta area (30309).  This is a direct hire position working for a company that recently received $37 million in funding and is rapidly expanding.  They are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer who can come in as a senior level resource to advise, shape, guide, and own DevOps for this organization as it grows.  Target salary for this role is $120,000-$140,000 per year, and benefits include flexible hours, partial work from home potential, onsite gym and cafeteria, health benefits, and PTO.   

DevOps Engineer (AWS/Cloud)This team member will be helping to design and implement tools, technologies, and infrastructure to power the MAX Exchange platform. Responsibilities will include monitoring and analyzing performance, embracing scalability, monitoring, and reporting on metrics of the cloud platform. You will be responsible for the automation of the CI/CD stack, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and logging. You should have a vision and desire to drive the organization to embrace infrastructure as code and the DevOps mind set.

What You May Have Already (or What You Will Gain in this Role):
  • Strong AWS Experience
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation with tools such as Python and Powershell
  • Experience creating infrastructure using CloudFormation templates
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and EC2 Container Services
  • Experience with monitoring solutions such as Cloudwatch, Graphite, Nagios, New Relic, Splunk
  • Familiarity with continuous integration / deployment processes such as Git, Jenkins, Teamcity
  • Experience with Application Load Balancers and Auto Scaling Groups
  • Familiarity in root-cause analysis with complex problems involving multiple parties, networks, and software relating to scaling and performance
  • Familiarity with process documentation
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux server platforms, understanding of networking and security concepts
  • Terraform experience
  • Packer experience
