Job Description

GDH is currently looking for Remote (Work from Home) Network Security Engineers to assist in setting up ISE lab environments and configure ISE components within non-production lab environment.  Responsibilities will include assisting with upgrading up to twenty-eight (28) ISE primary and secondary servers to 2.x code. 24 of the servers are assumed to be PSN servers. 

The following ISE Services for up to 70,000 VPN Endpoints will be provided: 
  • Authenticate
  • Posturing Assessment
  • Domain Windows Machines
  • MAC OS endpoints
  • Up to three (3) posture checks
  • Develop a Lab Deployment Test Plan
  • Conduct lab configuration according to the initial draft of the LDP
  • Provide the Lab Deployment Test Plan to review and approval
  • Perform lab deployment testing of the use cases, tuning and stabilizing lab implementation
  • Conduct a session to review lab deployment results and evaluate the results against use case
  • Provide Deployment Manual and Troubleshooting Guide

In a Session for one (1) Business Day in duration, deliver a session on topics related to the proposed network design, configuration, and management concerns. The Deployment Manual and Troubleshooting guide will cover the ISE design, how it was deployed in the environment and how to support ISE for up to fifteen (15) customer stakeholders and engineers

  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in the information and network security industry in addition to a BS in science, engineering, or mathematics (or additional 2 years of experience)
  • Experience with Cisco ISE configuration and troubleshooting. 
  • Experience troubleshooting Network layer 2 and layer 3 issues 
  • Experience in Troubleshooting Routing/Switching, wireless LAN controllers, VMware and VPN issues. 
  • Experience in planning, design and implementation of solution in service provider and enterprise environment 
  • Experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting network security for enterprise customers (preferably within a datacenter environment)
  • Extensive experience in security configuration of network and security devices in a large enterprise environment (routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems)
  • Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting one (1) or more of the following Cisco security technologies: IPS/SourceFire, FTD, ASA, CSM, ACS, VPN, ACI, TrustSec, Stealthwatch. The emphasis is on ISE
  • Detailed understanding of TCP/IP protocols
  • Detailed understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, BGP) and layer 2 protocols and technologies
  • CCNA/CCIE in Service provider environment preferred

  • Onsite and remote troubleshooting Network layer 2 and layer 3. 
  • Coordinate with remote users to install/configure equipment on site. 
  • Routing/switching (Cisco) installation and configuration. 
  • Service delivery and customization 
  • Acts as a point of contact for the problem resolution 
  • Understanding and utilization of Best practices and internal processes 
  • Setting up the lab setups to simulate the customer problems and provide the solution to the customer 
  • Provides product training and create intellectual property material.
