Through our partnership with Modis, we are seeking an Operations Test Lead in Charlotte, NC for a 6-month contract paying $67/hour.
Job Description:
  • Work closely with Project Manager and project team to ensure project timelines are met.
  • UAT Lead role is to ensure that the business users are put in a position, at the right time with the right tools to verify that the requirements that have been requested have been delivered satisfactorily.
  • Develop and document UAT Strategy Plan highlighting UAT milestones, timelines, entry and exit criteria and resource needs that are in coherence with overall project deliverables.
  • Request UAT resources in all impacted business areas by working closely with business area management to ensure UAT testers availability and commitment in fulfilling UAT efforts. If request are not satisfied, raise to project manager for information and project sponsor for assistance.
  • Define, promote and exercise a cohesive* method of regular communication on UAT efforts with business sponsors, key stakeholders, UAT testers, QA and IT partners including Project Manager.
  • Engage UAT testers during the earlier phases of the project to achieve the following on large strategic projects:
  • Review of approved business requirements
  • Review of UAT Strategy, Test Plan and manage expectations
  • Provide a concise road map of UAT deliverables and timelines
  • Guide and support UAT testers in creating UAT test scenarios, UAT test conditions and UAT test cases/scripts.
  • Facilitate review session on UAT test cases and scripts for requirements traceability.
  • Discuss UAT testing needs such as test data and test environment readiness
  • Provide logistics on handling UAT defects - report, track, retest and resolve.
  • Document and update the traceability matrix to align UAT test cases and results to business requirements. UAT Lead is responsible for the UAT test case alignment in the traceability matrix.
  • Work closely with QA and IT to ensure test data and test environment are ready for UAT.
  • Track and document UAT defects while partnering with QA, IT and PM towards defect resolution. *Note: Due to potential increase in billing, please channel all vendor defect resolutions through PM.
  • The QA defect list will be maintained and communicated by QA. The UAT Lead will be responsible for communicating the business functionality impacted by the QA defects in addition to the UAT defects to the project sponsors and the UAT testers by utilizing a consolidated list.
  • Provide clear visibility and accessibility to UAT-related materials to all project team members (Project Manager, Stakeholders, Partners, and UAT Testers) by utilizing the UAT folder in the project SharePoint repository.
  • Establish a regular cadence for the assigned team members in the UAT team throughout the project life cycle as follows:
  • Cohesive* communication to the UAT team on all items below related to the project:
  • Project Updates and Modifications
  • Scope changes (only if approved and included in implementation)
  • Requirements and/or Timeline changes
  • Decisions made by Project Sponsors and Key Stakeholders
  • Testing Efforts
  • Defects identified by QA partners that are unresolved
  • Defects identified by UAT testers that are unresolved
  • Progress made by UAT testers on UAT deliverables
  • Drive Mitigation plan for defects unresolved
  • Contribute to the Test Phase Summary Report(s) and facilitate UAT signoff by stakeholders.
  • Obtain Project Sponsor’s Go/No-Go decision for production implementation
  • Develop, document, coordinate, and communicate Implementation User Check-Out plan.
  • Review User Check-Out plan with business resources and provide support during implementation.
  • Support the two-week warranty period post implementation; to help address any issues that might pop up
  • Participate in planning/project meetings
  • Provide input into project dates
  • Provide input into scope additions
  • Raise alarm to PM if risk schedule is coming into play

*Note: Cohesive communication is defined as sharing information as a team wherein everyone who participates in the project is made aware using the same forum ex. meeting or formal email message. UAT Lead will work closely with Project Manager to determine best approach in disseminating information.
