Job Description

Our partners at Icon are seeking a Scrum Master in Dover, NH for a 6-month contract-to-hire role paying $50-$55/hour.

Job Description:This person will be responsible for 1 Scrum team which is working on 1 piece of a very large program project. The entire program project has 10 total Scrum teams. This Scrum Master will be responsible for giving weekly presentations to a large group of share holders. Must have excellent communication skills and have held previous Scrum master positions. This team is incredibly busy and is looking to fill this ASAP with a Scrum Master that requires minimal ramp up time.
  • 100% onsite in Dover NH- not remote. The majority of the team is located in Dover.
  • Must be able to think on their feet.
  • Strong prior PM experience
  • Responsible for facilitating the scrum process.
  • Coaches team members and proactively eliminates barriers and addresses challenges to team delivery on sprint goals.
  • Works closely with the Product Owner to support release planning.
  • Fosters team decision making; encourages cross-training and team support.

  1. Guides the scrum team on organization on how to use scrum and Agile practices and methodology.
  2. Oversees scrum process and coaches the team; facilitates transparency, inspection, and adaption.
  3. Lead daily scrum, sprint review, and planning meetings to ensure full team engagement. Manages interdependencies between agile teams.
  4. Works with the Product Owner to support short and long-term release planning, and to keep work backlog health and prepared for execution.
  5. Shields the team from external interference to enable optimal functionality and productivity
  6. Anticipates and addresses potential or actual impediments to team delivery (cultural barriers, logistic challenges)
  7. Fosters close cooperation across all team members; encourages cross-training and team support
  8. Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems may be raised without fear of reprisal.
  9. Administers metrics tracking and other duties on behalf of the team.
