We have an immediate need for a Senior Business Analyst for a 12 month contract position in Melville, NY.  This position offers the possibility of extension as well as quick onboarding, and requires someone with previous experience writing manuals/documentation.  Additionally, this position requires flexibility given the dynamic/complex project environment, and someone who is able to work with multiple teams, business units and projects at the same time.  
Job Description:The Sr. IT Business Analyst role will focus on SaaS implementation with an emphasis on analysis and planning that aligns with a long-term strategy supporting business transformation. This role will work closely with the Business stakeholders to identify application requirements that are market differentiators, but duties may also include assisting the Business stakeholders to identify processes that can take advantage of the existing SaaS or other application standards.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs and drivers with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and collaboration skills with all organization levels and the ability to motivate teams to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic and complex problems.
  • Expertise in understanding, setting and managing customer expectations throughout the analysis and requirements phase.
  • Experience interfacing with the BU’s, Operations teams and geographically distributed technical teams.
  • Maturity and ability to work independently in a dynamic project environment with aggressive deadlines.
  • Skilled in conceptualizing, documenting and presenting creative idea/solutions.
  • Action oriented. Strong Analytical, Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving skills; experience in both process and solution analysis & design.
  • Effectively communicate between end users and technical teams and be able to triage issues.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Analyze the landscape of current applications (internal and 3rd party) and the current business processes built around such applications
  • Understand the future application landscape (SaaS + marketplace partner) capabilities in order to recommend a strategy to create an application landscape that meets the Business, Program and legacy application decommissioning objectives
  • Gather and organize requirements for both configuration and application customization from the business stakeholders
  • Decompose operational processes to understand and develop metrics
  • Create and maintain documentation (process flows, integration points, data collection and controls)
  • Translate business needs to requirements that will be leveraged for application development by SaaS, 3rd party vendors and the Corporate IT Solutions team.
  • Leverage the new Corporate / SaaS architectural guidelines to ensure application standards are maintained
  • Perform special projects/assignments as needed

Qualifications:
  • 5+ Years’ experience with software application analysis and delivery
  • 2+ Years Staffing Industry experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Health Sciences, Computer Science or Business
  • Master’s level degree preferred
  • Experience using various software development approaches (Waterfall, Incremental, Agile, etc)
  • 5+ years managing simple projects
  • 2+ years managing complex projects
  • Knowledge and experience with enterprise SaaS application development approach is preferred.
  • Strong communication (oral & written) skills to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, using appropriate media and language.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SQL
