Senior Security Manager

The Senior Security Manager is a senior management position that will be responsible for the management and leadership of the security operations team supporting the overall Information Security posture for our client. This position will oversee procedures and policies designed to protect our client from both internal and external threats. The Security Manager will oversee the governance and management of the information security resources to support the overall mission to identify and mitigate any information security-related risks that could potentially compromise our clients' data. 

  • Position responsible for the implementation of the clients’ enterprise security strategy, policy and procedures to safeguard information assets 
  • Establish standards and compliance with regulations 
  • Accountable for the development, implementation and monitoring of a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security program to ensure the availability, integrity and confidentiality of information, and control techniques to address all applicable information security requirements 
  • Oversee the establishment and maintenance of information security on an automated and continuous basis 
  • Lead and coordinate institutional responses to security incidents, providing timely reports during the incident and response, as well as proposing solutions to anticipate, prevent or mitigate future incidents 
  • Responsible for information security risk mitigation plan, including leading the security incident response team in prevention, investigation, mitigation and reporting activities 
  • Complies with federal, state, and local employment law by understanding existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on applicable policy and procedural improvements 
  • 15 years of progressive relevant work experience in information security management, cyber security and policy development 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Information Sciences or Technology or related field
    CISSP certification preferred 
  • Experience managing 25 or more direct employees across multiple teams
  • Able to interact directly with senior Government executives, client executives, and make recommendations about the cyber security industry.
  • Deep familiarity with FISMA, NIST, security monitoring tools, and other relevant USG regulations 
  • Demonstrated accomplishments in program leadership, policy development, management and risk assessments 
  • Familiar with federal government information systems as either a contractor or employee 
  • Strong communications skills, including the ability to interact with business partners who do not have a security background 
  • Security architecture expertise
  • Security Clearance is required for this position.
