Job Description

We have an immediate need for a SharePoint Administrator for a 6 month contract to hire position in Overland Park, KS.  

Responsibilities:
  • Provides day-to-day support of SharePoint environment including end user site owner support
  • Coordinates with IT, business users and 3rd Party providers on installations, patches and other related work in SharePoint
  • Establishes SharePoint governance process, policies & procedures for the use of SharePoint in the enterprise
  • Supports Intranet sites built on SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2013
  • Manages system security, system patching and upgrades of SharePoint
  • Deploys custom developed and third-party SharePoint solution packages
  • Configures SharePoint services and settings
  • Documents SharePoint configuration and architecture
  • Manages site quotas and file size limits within the SharePoint environment
  • Reviews and monitors usage reports
  • Manages content databases and creates new ones as required
  • Administers and maintains sites and sub-sites
  • Manages security for sites and sub-sites
  • Manages the site layout structure and content
  • Provides SharePoint support to site owners in business units
  • Develops system administration best practices and coordinates with peer groups in their implementation
  • Training and support of the business users in their day to day involvement with SharePoint.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, CIS or related technical field
  • 5 years of SharePoint 2010 and 2013 administration in an enterprise environment
  • Experience establishing standards, policies and procedures for SharePoint
  • Strong understanding of the out-of-the-box features of SharePoint and how to install, configure and support them
  • Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Experience with software testing, debugging and troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in Customer Support and service
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative cross-functional team setting


Preferred:
  • Experience developing applications on the SharePoint platform
  • Experience supporting SharePoint on Azure
  • Windows Server administration (any version) experience
  • Experience working with 3rd Party solution providers and Managed Services arrangements
