Job Description

Job Summary:Performs duties related to the manufacture and production of shaped charges. Operates complex mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. Conducts troubleshooting to diagnose product, process, or program defects and assists in repair operations. 
Relationships:Supervision: Production Supervisor or Shift Leader
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Responsible for the operation of electronic, pneumatic, and robotic equipment in the production of shaped charges. Required to observe and maintain OSHA requirements for employees working with machinery and robotics.
  • Responsible and accountable for explosives management and control to  Federal policies and laws.
  • Responsible and accountable for packaging of explosives to DOT regulations with correct labelling and documentation
  • Responsible and accountable for controlling access to Explosive Magazines and maintaining Magazine ATF logs and for maintaining ATF safety and legal requirements for limiting the amount of explosives in production.
  • Responsible to ATF and EPA requirements for correctly documenting, controlling and packaging of scrap explosives
  • Responsible for assisting engineering and maintenance teams to resolve problems relating to equipment set up. Knowledgeable on the assembly, disassembly and set up of electrical, pneumatic, and robotic equipment as required to run various tests for the production of various shaped charges.
  • Required to wear PPE, as required, and observe health, safety and environmental policies. 
  • Responsible for the collection, organization, and presentation of data from manufacturing activities performed  
  • Responsible for the successful completion of required safety training (including but not limited to explosives, forklift, drugs and alcohol, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving). 
  • Required to maintain training certifications for the performance of daily duties
  • Responsible for the performance of daily housekeeping duties in the production and bay areas including the clean-up of hazardous and explosive compounds
  • Must successfully complete a BATFE background check

Employees may be assigned other duties, in addition to or in lieu of those described above, and any duties are subject to change at any time, according to the needs of the company.
Preferred Education:
  • High school diploma with two years of formal technical training.
  • Preferred Experience:
  • 1 - 3 years technically related job experience in an automated production environment
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite

Working Hours: 
  • 1st Shift: 5AM ? 4PM (Mon ? Wed) 5AM ? 12PM (Thu)
  • 2nd shift: 5PM ? 4AM (Mon - Wed) 5PM ? 12AM (Thu)
  • 3rd shift: 10AM ? 5PM (Thu) 6AM ? 5PM (Fri ? Sun) 
  • 4th shift: 10PM ? 5AM (Thu) 5PM ? 4AM (Fri -Sun)

Minimum Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds occasionally during the workday.
  • Twisting, bending, leaning and stooping frequently during the workday.
  • Ability to work in a shop environment - continuous exposure to loud noises, dust, solvents and oils

Job Requirements:
  • The position requires successful approval of Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives background check and drug and alcohol screening.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship
  • Ideal candidate will be self-motivated, well organized, have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively; must be proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and email tools.
