We have an immediate opening for a Scrum Master/Project Manager in the Houston, TX area paying $60.00-75.00/hr

General Duties
  • Drives all project activities
  • Under supervision of Senior Leadership, develops project schedules and determines and acquires resources needed.
  • Acts as liaison between technology/business stakeholders and Senior Leadership on project status, issues and risks.
  • Creates and maintains project plans and ensures effective financial forecasting and tracking. Interfaces with other technology and business organization
  •  Reach agreement on scope, obtain resources and ensure proper preparedness.
  • Reviews and evaluates work to ensure quality, timeliness and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Maintains resource forecasts and actuals in MS Project
Required Experience 

  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Thorough knowledge of both Jira and MS Project
  • First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)
  • Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach(example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs,etc)
  • Previous experience as a team lead on a large project in a Fortune 1000 company
  • Experience in a Business Analyst or Software Development role
  • MS Office tool expertise, with PowerPoint, and especially Excel
