Job Description

Through our partners at Modis we have an opportunity for a Windows Systems Administrator for a direct hire position in Downtown Atlanta (right off the Marta line and drop off is right at the building). Expertise in Windows Web Applications support and IIS support are critical, in addition to infrastructure/systems experience. This is a terrific opportunity for someone who wants to grow their skills in Windows, Linux, automation, and DevOps principles by working with and learning from a senior team. Responsibilities:
  • Windows web application support, including: web application setup, adding certificates, debugging applications…etc.
  • Utilize IIS for configurations and setup of Windows web applications
  • Deploy code changes for windows web applications
  • Design and deploy highly-available, scalable solutions for new and existing services
  • Automate configuration and deployment of Linux systems and cloud infrastructure components
  • Contribute to software build/release automation
  • Support production infrastructure and development operations
  • Act as an escalation point for support departments in resolving internal and client-facing issues
  • Participate in weekly on-call rotation


Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
  • Fluency with BASH or other command-line tools.
  • Familiarity with one or more additional scripting languages (Ruby, Python, Perl, Go, etc.).
  • Understanding of 3-tier application infrastructure, DNS, and basic networking topics.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Basic Windows system administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with cloud environments.
  • Experience with a configuration management tool (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt).
  • Experience with containers / container orchestration.
  • Interest in DevOps tools, methodologies, and culture.


Other Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a System/Infrastructure Administration, Engineering or related field.
